Book Marks - Ink Art Designs DT post

Welcome !!

Today I am sharing my makes for Ink Art Designs
A bit long...but worth it - honest....

using this cardstock
background I made using my gelli plate.

And what have I made you ask...
well - a couple of book marks. Did you know
there is actually a standard size...
these are 2 inches by 6 inches.

For quite a few years now I go to the
Saskatchewan Festival of Words
in July..(so much fun)
so thinking of that is why I
made bookmarks.

The first one - The front - using my
Visible Image stamp - Where Dreams take You - which you can
purchase at Ink Art Designs...

The eye has been stamped onto my gelli paint print
with archival black.. and coloured in the eye with
a bit of blue.
Cut up the saying and layered and a little
sponging with green around the edges.

On the backside - splattered some ink with my fan brush.

Added some splats - and of course the saying.

My Next one -
Using Katzelcraft stamp - Ignase -
Just LUV him...
Kept it simple - But I stamped him first
onto the cardstock - then I did a second one
separately which I coloured and fussy cut out..
layered on top of the original stamp on the
and used one of my
Tim Holtz sayings.

The backside ...I used the
Harlequin Dinky stencil from
Thats Crafty -

Then added on the saying from
Rubber Dance - Funny Birthday.

So - bit of a lengthy post - but hope you enjoyed.

All stamps used here can be purchased from

And lastly - don't forget to check out the blog at Ink Art Designs
for more awesome creativity !!

Ink Art Designs!!!

Whoo Hoo

Well here I am with my first post
So excited.

What I am sharing today is a card made
using the coffee filter technique for the
background with
Nuance powders onto glossy cardstock.

Using my Lavinia Stamps available

I stamped Harrietas house onto white cardstock -
embossed in black then fussy cut out.

The saying I also embossed and cut out.
And layered them onto black cardstock.

Before adding all this on - I did my moon with some
marmalade distress ink.  And if you look closely
you can see some sparkles around the edges.

The corner I have stamped the Lavinia Fushia with Staz on ink.

Then layered the card and roughed up the edges of
one of the layers.

We will be sharing tons of talent with you !!

Acetate card

Hi There - Welcome to my blog.

Today I am sharing a card I made using
House Mouse stamp and acetate.

Using a die cut to make the frame I layered
the image onto it.

Just fit perfectly !!
(what were the odds lol)

Don't think you can really see the stickles
but they are there....

Plus the leafy edges of the frame I put on some
Nuvo Aqua Shimmer

The loss of a pet is so hard.

Made this card with that in mind.

The saying is stamped onto some
rafi paper and layered on

The cut out - I had bought ages ago.
Just keeps the card simple.

This card I used my old french script background
stamp from Stampin Up...
Some distress oxide inks on it - then spritzed
then stamped onto the black cardstock.

My tree die cut from white cardstock.
and layered the Small Talk from Tim Holtz
onto the black and white.

Added a couple of stars (yes glued individually)

Not sure what I will use the card for - or for whom...

Son's birthday....

So I had some paper laying around that I had used Nuance powders on - and I think the blue one is just ink swiped onto glossy cardstock.

So with this TJ stamp (luv luv luv their stamps !)  - made a couple of quick - simple cards.

One for my son's birthday - which is today !!!  (won't say how old as it will age me...)

Stamped the image - then using some colour from my Marvy marker for the beer.  Then added some stickle pearl for the foam.

Giving him the browny coloured card... :)

Wednesday, April 17, 2019

Oh my gosh - been awhile again since I posted on WOYWW !!
Where does my time go....

Here are a couple of shots of whats going on right now.

Now let me explain...I was spring cleaning and found these items in the kitchen that I don't use anymore - so I put them aside to see if my kids wanted any - otherwise they go in the second hand bag.  (may keep the green lime squeezer only for sentimental reasons as my mom had given it to me)Weird how after some one is gone the littlest things remind you of them...

Then on my working desk - playing with some Lavinia stamps..Can't get enough of them...think I need a loan to buy more hehehee.

Thats it for today - check out all the other desks at Julias Whats on your workdesk wednesday !!

get better soon

A young lady I know has to go for a bit of an operation...

So she loves dogs...

I fussy cut this dog out - the stamp is an old wood block mounted -
that I have had for years - no name to identify where from...

Anyhow -

Just a quick layering - on her fav colour - pink.

Small talk from Tim Holtz added on - as she needs to focus on getting better.
