sugar beads

This is one of my favourite things to play around with.  LUV how the images turn out.  WE did this card in our class last week.

It's hard to tell in the photo - but the small Crafty Individual pictures are covered in clear beads.  The saying used is from
Rubber City Rubber Works....

WOW - that was fun !!!

Had a class the other day - 5 cards in four hours.  It was was a great time.

A couple of Valentine cards , did a card with some sugar beading, and then another that we did a different technique on that I will post later.

We did a masterboard - with resist embossing.  Then made an easel card with a 4 x 4 piece.  So today I will post the results of the easel card.

Will post the other cards over the next week or so.

Stamped her onto vellum with staz on Ganache.

This challenge was for the chipboard,  which I made into the pillar ..wrapping the leafs around.......just seemed to all fit together.

The stamps used are from Lost Coast.

Welcome Back !!!!

A very good friend of mine has been living in the USA for the past 12 (or so ) years.  And is finally coming back home !!!

couldn't resist sending her a little welcome home gift.

I have my maple leaf stamp- by the Stamp Barn - and stamped the background in a darker red onto the red cardstock.  Made my flag.  and overlay with acetate with the saying.... Pretty good EH!!

Of course could not resist the saying inside...both sayings by Katie & Co.

ink used - distress ink red brick.

THE BOX .....

Oh my - now this was a challenge !!  Was sent this box to put together (forgot to take a photo of the pieces), but wasn't really supposed to put it together....was supposed to decorate the flat pieces mail back to my crafty friends for them to put together...saves on the postage !!..does this make sense.

But no - I got so excited....I built the box first....then thought ...what the ???  How am I going to decorate these.

So what I did was use the faux leather technique and covered the boxes.

And this is how they ended up.

TP anyone???

Yep !  that is what I am talkin' about !!!  Toilet paper.
Acutally this techinique turned out way better then my initial thought ....quite pleased with the results !!!  Using my stamp from Memory Box.

Using one ply at a time....smoosh onto your stamp with a stiple brush.  Use about 8 layers.  Let dry thoroughly.

Added a Crafty Individuals image that I micro beaded.  ----this is what I ended up with........thought it turned out very well !!
