Oh Frida

One of my colleagues was needing a birthday card and knew I have quite a few Frida Kahlo stamps.

 

Had a very limited time to build something so went very simple.

 

Tried to do a couple of different styles / colours for her to have a bit of a choice.

Always need more cards - so the others will be put to good use.

My Mother will be 87 this year !!! 

This is a pic of her in the younger days......nice hat eh !

I made her a card this year from my Stampsmith collection......added some larger flowers on it that I got from my good friend Nicki in Switzerland.

You probably noticed last week the mess on my desk on WOYWW....

Here is the end result.  I was sent the rain man and the tag in the mail and had to make something with it.

LOL a little different.  But different is okay.....

Okay - what is it this week you ask.....I have so much on the go !   Birthdays galore coming up.  Challenges to get done - and of course fit a short holiday to Vegas in between.

Trying to play with this melted crayon technique.......

 Might be a bit messier than I thought -

 

But that's okay -  it's always an experiment.....LOL

My Son saw the bookmarks I made for his sister last month and he wanted one.  But with a different design. 

And of course I do like the 'unusual' sort of stamps.  So I dug out this one I got several years ago down in Sequim......isn't he a sweetie LOL.

 

 

I chalked in the figure, then masked it - and stamped with the journey stamp for background.  On the backside I smooshed some blue ink - used my whatever stamp - and the blotches.

 

As my friends over the pond would say - I am quite chuffed with it.

So I think I went a little over on the splash !!!
