Tis the Season

Yes with Christmas over - now we start all over again for birthdays and weddings and special holidays !!!

And, Yes, my lovely daughter has called me up - MOM I need a card for a wedding !!!  O and one for Valentines too (which I will post at a later date).....

So today - this is the 'quick' wedding congrats card.

Using my Inkadinkadoo stamp that I have had for years...but just luv the simplicity of it. Always seems so fitting for a wedding card.

Using the resist embossing technique. Adding a few flourishes...and it is ready to go.

Our Love for Frida Kahlo - born in 1907 - She was best known for her self portraits.

Her paintings never got widely acclaimed until years after her death.
This stamp from Lost Coast is one of the many I have of Frida.
Using the easel card design - layered this image on.

Daisys all lined up with some pearl Stickle in the middle.

Tag Swap

Over at my KCUK group we had a tag swap in January (3 4 3)
The Theme was 'circles' - any subject as long as there was a circle some where.

Decided I had not used my Asian stamps for awhile...

The saying is from Stampendous / image from Stampin Up and background from Asian Image
Stamped the image with Staz on Black onto vellum- sprayed it with glue to stick on.

And of course my circles were the Asian coins...

Happy Valentines Day !!!

Here are two of the cards that we completed in previous card class. Chose some easy cards to quickly put together for Valentines.  Using my Stampin Up sayings.  Just punch out some hearts and layer.

This last one was a request from my daughter for her sister in law who loves dogs.   Don't know who makes this image as I stamped it a few years ago.  So I put together a little easel card for her.

The hearts that I punched out - I used the strip along the edge of the easel card.  Just making use of the scraps !!!

Cascade Card

Our challenge was to do a cascade card.  Had never done one before - so put my best efforts into it and this is what I got.

I rubbed my stamp with tombow markers - then spritzed it.  Stamping the flower images.  Think it turned out ok.

Add my Stampin UP Celebrate stamp and some ribbon to finish it off.

sugar beads

This is one of my favourite things to play around with.  LUV how the images turn out.  WE did this card in our class last week.

It's hard to tell in the photo - but the small Crafty Individual pictures are covered in clear beads.  The saying used is from
Rubber City Rubber Works....
