Half - o - ween in May !!!

Whoo Hoo  - my first scheduled project with the Lost Coast Team !!
For this Challenge I used my Anthropomorph Owl.

Using some inks for the background swish - and keeping the colours traditional.....

Wanted the design fairly simple.  I embossed the owl and cut him out to layer onto my background along with the witches hat.

The Happy Halloween Stamp on the ribbon almost looks ghostlike.....

The challenge presented next for my USA group was to make a hinged card.  Actually liked my cards I didn't want to send them out LOL...

Put them together with some black and white cardstock.  The front I used, ATC size design layered on....

This is what it looks like from the top down.....

So besides the Paris ones I did this one too....

In the end, yes, I did mail out the Paris cards to the gyrls !!!

Sort of Steampunkish.....

My daughter had requested a card for a friend of hers who is in the film industry.....so yes....had to be filmish for a guy.

So I thought of using some of my Stampsmith stamps with old film stars....but then I remembered I had some Film Ribbon from Tim Holtz...ahahhhhh what should I do.

Well this is what I came up with.

So a little bit steampunk along with the film strips.  Thought the saying was fitting - and that stamp is from 'just for fun'.

here is a view from the side.

Think it turned out alright !!!

Thanks for visiting TTFN.....

Happy Birthday little Sis....

Well - my little sisters birthday today. I used one of my Banksy images (Luv Banksy) that I bought from Viva las Vegas stamps.

www.vlvstamps.com

I did up two cards.....the top one is the one I gave her.  Using my script stamp from Memory Box in the corner. - rubbed Distress inks for background.  added some butterflies.  Layered paper that had maps on it.

The second card - masked the image and used the script stamp from Hero Arts.  layered paper and butterflies......

Ghosting.....

And, no, it is not Halloween time !!!

What this is - ghosting technique - stamp your background with Versa mark...

let it dry thourghly (or lightly dry with embossing gun) once dry rub distress ink all over it....

then make your card....

Very cool....

Different point of view.....

Used these images at my last class to hand out as a challenge for those who attended to see what they could come up with.

This first card was made by Trish - she used Inka Gold on the embossed cardstock....luv it with the layered greens, vellum and the bling/butterflies to accent it !!  Awesome !!!

These next three are the ones that I had put together...

Of course this is a Photo Stamp from Stampsmith.

LCD Challenge

Anything goes !!  yippee - my favourite kinda challenge....

Here is my entry today.....

I had some splattered background paper laying around so I stamped and clear embossed the Crow on the bike....from Lost Coast Rubber of course...http://lost-coasters-review.blogspot.ca/
Then I glued some bling onto the wheels....

The saying (from Stamping up) is stamped on green Raffia paper then mod podged onto the card stock.  While it was still wet I sprinkled a little glitter onto it.....here is a closer look.

Of course - layered the images onto the cardstock.

Whats on your workdesk Wednesday....

It has been a few weeks since I posted on a WOYWW.....between a bit of travelling - teaching a class - and doing some challenges ! wow. been busy.

So this week I am sharing my cluttered mess....I have tried cleaning a bit....but to no avail..as I find something I think - oh that will be fun to play with !!!

Don't let the sorta tidy spot on the side fool you....really - just other stuff shifted to another spot !!

and look at this...

Ya, I just reach in a pick some lace or ribbon...the mangled mess hehehehee....

So if you want to check out other desks around the world go to

Circle of Life....

**warning** this post will be a bit long. Like my previous post, Watch over Me, I am sharing the gift box I made for my daughter to give her the necklace I bought to remember her Grandmother by.

In the beginning....my attempt at an exploding box.

Then..the box in the middle was an old jewelry box that I refurbished.  and then the start of the lid.

more...just kept adding and adding....

close to the end....had to pin the sides up so you could see.

and..of course ..you would like to see the necklace?

Watch over me....

* warning * This post will be a bit lengthy.  As some of you know my mother passed away last Thanksgiving.  It reminded me of when my grandmother passed away, my Mom bought each of us girls a beautiful locket.  So I am doing a similar thing, but bought my daughter and son a Phyrra necklace to represent their grandmother.

With that - of course - I had to make a box to give it to them in.
The first I will show is the one I made for my son.

Here we go.....These are the pieces to start. Wanted my Moms memories to show.

Then...Start decorating the outside. My son used to watch Winnie the Pooh all the time while Granny was babysitting him...fitting saying to add on.

 Done...the outside is complete...

Peek on the inside.....

Of course you want to see the necklace I choose for him...
He looked after his grandma so much in her final few years  - this just seemed fitting....
