Today I am sharing my make for the Men & Boys over at Lost Coast Designs !!! After my little teaser the other day....The Y Chromosome .....hehhehee With Fathers Day on the 19th - great to have some FAB ideas on a card for him.... Using the Phrenology Head, and steampunk style. (just luv steampunk - anything goes)
Thanks to everyone who took part in the Lost Coast Skellie fest !!! So many talented people out there !!! Now - whats next you ask - well from June 14 - 19th, and with Fathers day fast approaching - Its all about the Men ! Come visit to see the makes that the DT has made.
Here is a teaser of mine coming up..... Click on the side bar to Men & Boys and check it out !!!!
But first of all - I put gesso all over the tag - layered on some printed b/w tissue paper. Also spritzed it with some orange shimmer mist. (can't really see it but it is there). Used a bit of Distress Black Soot ink on the edges of the tag. With the stamp - I embossed the wings black and the face copper. Did another set of wings with the tips done with gold embossing and layered underneath. Rather than using the stamped crown I put a metal one on.
Well sort of like Christmas in July - Lost Coast is having Halloween in May !!! Halfway to the trick and treaters !!!! Today I used Carmen Verandas stamp - Monkey Face - thought giving him the red eyes would make him look scarier !!! Sponged my inks onto the card stock while masking off the corner to make the full moon. Of course all the bats flying around his head is making him angry and he will get his flying monkeys out if he has to !!! Check out Lost Coast blog at... http://lost-coasters-review.blogspot.ca/
Whoo Hoo - my first scheduled project with the Lost Coast Team !! For this Challenge I used my Anthropomorph Owl. Using some inks for the background swish - and keeping the colours traditional..... Wanted the design fairly simple. I embossed the owl and cut him out to layer onto my background along with the witches hat.
The Happy Halloween Stamp on the ribbon almost looks ghostlike.....
My daughter had requested a card for a friend of hers who is in the film industry.....so yes....had to be filmish for a guy. So I thought of using some of my Stampsmith stamps with old film stars....but then I remembered I had some Film Ribbon from Tim Holtz...ahahhhhh what should I do. Well this is what I came up with.
So a little bit steampunk along with the film strips. Thought the saying was fitting - and that stamp is from 'just for fun'. here is a view from the side.
Think it turned out alright !!! Thanks for visiting TTFN.....
Well - my little sisters birthday today. I used one of my Banksy images (Luv Banksy) that I bought from Viva las Vegas stamps. www.vlvstamps.com
I did up two cards.....the top one is the one I gave her. Using my script stamp from Memory Box in the corner. - rubbed Distress inks for background. added some butterflies. Layered paper that had maps on it. The second card - masked the image and used the script stamp from Hero Arts. layered paper and butterflies......
Todays card is going in the challenge at http://www.fashionablestampingchallenges.com/ which is ---- Blue / Yellow and White. and http://rubberdance.blogspot.ca/2016/04/april-challenge-stamp-into-spring.html and three challenge colours...blue / yellow / white. Using my Lavinia stamp and some Distress inks...this is my creation.
Used these images at my last class to hand out as a challenge for those who attended to see what they could come up with. This first card was made by Trish - she used Inka Gold on the embossed cardstock....luv it with the layered greens, vellum and the bling/butterflies to accent it !! Awesome !!!
These next three are the ones that I had put together...
Anything goes !! yippee - my favourite kinda challenge.... Here is my entry today.....
I had some splattered background paper laying around so I stamped and clear embossed the Crow on the bike....from Lost Coast Rubber of course...http://lost-coasters-review.blogspot.ca/ Then I glued some bling onto the wheels.... The saying (from Stamping up) is stamped on green Raffia paper then mod podged onto the card stock. While it was still wet I sprinkled a little glitter onto it.....here is a closer look.
Of course - layered the images onto the cardstock.
**warning** this post will be a bit long. Like my previous post, Watch over Me, I am sharing the gift box I made for my daughter to give her the necklace I bought to remember her Grandmother by. In the beginning....my attempt at an exploding box.
Then..the box in the middle was an old jewelry box that I refurbished. and then the start of the lid.
more...just kept adding and adding....
close to the end....had to pin the sides up so you could see.
and..of course ..you would like to see the necklace?
