Ready to Pounce

This is day 12 of the 31 Days of Halloween

 my scary halloween card just wanting to burst out at you !!!!

First I want to say that this is one of our older stamps that sadly is no longer

available.  But thought some of you will have it and maybe wonder what to do with it

Well this was a fun make

Used some halloween paper I had laying around and right about centre I tore and pulled back 

the paper to make this.  Only want to take it as far as the image (no white space)

Layered the image, after I coloured in the eyes and nails.  in behind, then layered onto black cardstock with distressed edges.

Wrapped a bit of  string around to that it almost looked like the edges had cat hair caught !!!

You can definitely do this with any stamp !!

Gotta have some sparkle with Christmas right !

This guy just looks so happy being tangled in these lights LOL

Used some Christmas paper and a bit of ribbon to finish this off.

Day of the Dead

 

                                                         It is day 3 of the 31 days of Halloween  

here is my first make of the month with the Halloween theme at  

Lost Coast Designs!!!

Everything haunted and scary this month bbbwwwhhhahahaha

I used the Persian Skull stamp for this one.

So, I stamped the image on cardstock, masked the head and did some black paint flecks/splatters.

Then on a piece of cheesecloth I stamped the image again.

carefully laid it over the original image and glued down lightly.

Used some black ink around the edges.

layered the image onto black cardstock - distressed the edges. 

A few butterflies and flowers, with a touch of black sickles in the middles.

Today the first make this that I am sharing is 

Cozy Polar Bear stamp 

The background Is made with my watercolour powders

The bears were fussy cut out coloured in a bit on the scarfs and hats

then of course pom pom for the top of their Touques (aka as hats if you are not from Canada LOL)

Whole bunch sayings from the new Christmas set (7 of them)

And thought this one went well with the image.  The inside says

Love this new stamp Whoop

(every time I read it I get that song stuck in my head - but that was  Whoomp there it is LOL)

I used some scrap paper for the back design - splattered with some gold from my Pesca pen - then layered all together

Next up is another I made using the Overlapping leaves background 

With this one I embossed on some wordy paper and fussy cut out one leaf

Layered on top of the embossed background

Thought this was more of a masculine looking card - would be great for birthday wishes

Monkey Business

 Oh my gosh - this is one of my fav stamps from

Carmen's Veranda

And what a better time to showcase then our Animal theme monthly challenge 

First I stamped on 4 x 6 inch white cardstock and coloured in the eyes

Then with once of my stencils matched the eye colour to all the bubbles and inked the edges too

To finish the card I used part of a saying from Carmen's Veranda clear stamp words

'Never too Late'

So the final look !!

added a couple of clear blings

This would make a great post card too...

Moose on the Loose

 Welcome to my blog today

I did a couple of cards using the new Bare Branches background stamp and another using an

older stamp Tree Branch Silhouette

So first up 

With the NEW Bare Branches

 Wanted to keep this quite simple

So I cut out the bit orange circle and layered it on top lining up the branches

Added the moose die cut, a touch of sponging on the edges.

Next up similar technique but using the Tree Branch Silhouette

A few fall leaves , a Moose and birthday wishes

Added the coffee stains on and layered the sayings and typewriter

sponged the edges, added some threads and letters

Tis' Halloween

 

Oh ya !  Halloween is coming up and today I am sharing a couple of cards I made with the new stamps !

First up, one of my fav cards, is this fun fold using

Bare Branches stamp and Happy Halloween

I stamped the branches on orange paper and layered onto DSP (designer paper)

Die cuts of bat and crow added.

Front panel I stamped the Halloween saying and splattered with black ink.

This folds real nice and flat to mail out.

Also - this would be great for a birthday card for those born on

October 31 St

Next up using the new Halloween background stamp

and Shake saying set

Coloured in and some sparkle added

Layered in the orange and black with distressed edges.

This month being the animal challenge

I made a 5 x 5 inch barn door style card

Embossed the cat, then fussy cut around the head

and cut away cardstock to make door 

Coloured in the Cat and used one of my stencils 

Happy birthday die cut  and done !

Today I am sharing two cards

First up is this Birthday card using

the new Overlapping Leaves and Bold Birthday Wishes

The leaves were embossed with different colours

wanted to give it a fall-ish look

Then layered / and layered again with the birthday words.

Next up, as Halloween is coming real soon

this gate fold card

Again using a couple of different embossing colours

Who doesn't have a Resting Witch face LOL

The background panels I used the new Halloween background of course

Lost Coast Challenge

New month means a new challenge over at Lost Coast Designs 

This month it is 'animals' and there are some new releases !!!

I made a couple of tags, so starting off is my first one with the new little Chihuahua

I sponged the tag with green and dark brown ink.

stamped some words on background - the cute dog I embossed in black and fussy cut out - coloured in and layered onto the tag.

Add a few strings for the top - and tada

Next one I did was using the mouse

And along the same idea - yellow and brown background

spritzed a bit of water on then

used a stencil I have to some bubbles.  The mouse is fussy cut out also and layered on

Just love these characters

Merry Christmas

 Welcome to my blog today

Sharing a couple of quick cards I made using 

cute Merry Christmas stamp

Both of these cards the images were covered with

double sided sticky paper and covered in clear micro beads

First up is this one with the red background

a bit of tulle in the corner and some raffie ribbon

The edges were sponged a bit.

Next one has a green base - same idea

But edged the saying with silver embossing powder and did an old script stamp for half the base in silver also.

this Christmas stamp is perfect to fit in smaller spaces

 Welcome to my blog today !

I am sharing another make I did for the 

Lost Coast Designs children Challenge

(where you can win - just have to upload picture to site)

Using my Alice in a Chair stamp, She is stamp onto white cardstock

then coloured in.  Fussy cut out then I clear embossed it to give it a 

nice sheen

The back ground with the perspective Floor stamped in a nice blue colour.

Oh, and this all done on 4 x 4 white piece of cardstock

string of pearls through the middle.  Popped Alice on top

The Words are cut out from a piece of paper in my stash

Then layered on the black

final card is 5 x 5
