IN THE BEGINNING....okay the challenge was to recyle something and use at least one of StampSmith stamps. This jar has been sitting on my desk with old family pictures stuffed in it. And I have been collecting these glass beads. So here is my creation.
A night light. Put some of the glass beads at the bottom of the jar. Using Vellum - stamped the image with Distress Broken China Blue. Outlined the picture to make it look like it is framed. Also stamped some design around the side - made the vellum into a tube to insert into the jar.
Decorated the Jar with ribbon -
Here is the jar with the tea light on...
I am very happy with the results - impressed my DH !!

ReplyDeleteSo glad you made it for this month's challenge.
Stamping onto vellum, especially in blue creates a lovely ethereal vibe to this image (heightens the Victorian sense of the photo real image) and brilliant (you clever thing!) piece of up-cycling.
Thank you for joining us and supporting TSC this month.
Good Luck with the Prize Draw.
