 My make today that I am sharing is for 

Lost Coast Designs challenge for the 

month of April - Gnomes

Using the Gardner Gnome I made this fun fold

added a bit of sparkle ehhehehe

And on the inside - using an old stammp (not LCD)

Clean and Simple

 This months challenge theme over at Lost Coast Designs

 is Gnomes !!

I titled this one clean and simple as thats what it was to make.

The background I had made awhile back just doing some smooshing.

The 3 mini gnomes I embossed and coloured and fussy cut out

The little saying is just from some paper I had laying around also.

So - to me - it looked like an evening sky/sunset happening in the background.

So easy to put together, your cards don't need to have a lot going on to look great.

Grandaughters Birthday Card

 Oh MY GOSH

so much fun making this card

Granddaughter is turning 12 and just thought this is her style LOL

Using my paper from Bella Luna - Crazy Pets

So I chose a background that I thought would fit.

Fussy cut out the easy chair, gave it a couple of folds to make

it look a bit 3D. and popped it up.

using one of my very old stamps from Stampotique , I stamped and embossed her off to the side

Some fun stuff behind the chair to make it look maybe a bit tattered from the cat LOL

Glossy accents on the balloons and of course HBD saying

Hope she likes it.

 My final make for the month with the theme 'Make it Funny'

With Lost Coast Designs

I chose the Steampunk American Gothic stamp for this make and 

Carmen Verandas clear stamp 

So the image is stamped onto kraft paper then coloured in white,

used a stencil for the background with a walnut distress ink colour

Layered onto some designer paper, some black threads in behind, mesh on corners

The saying stamped and layered and edges distressed.

My Dog

 Hey thanks for popping into my blog

Today I am sharing one of my makes for the month of March

with Lost Coast Designs challenge 'make it funny'

So pairing the Taco John stamp and

Carmen Veranda clear stamp

the background is done with my washi tape (I do have so much lol)

A little sparkle on his bow tie

He is just too cute - and ya I would take him over a family member...ssshhhhh

Rocker Birthday Card

 Thanks for popping by my blog today.

My grandson is turning 7 !!!  where has the time gone.

So made him a rocker card.  He is very interested in the sky

and animals and how things work

So I was originally going to find an astronaut to put on card

but instead - thought the flying pig would be more fun

so the pig is fussy cut out and the rest of the card is just 

some cosmic paper I had in my stash.

Some stickles for a wee bit of night sky sparkle

Perhaps it wasn't the cow that jumped over the

Perhaps it was the pig

maybe....

At Lost Coast Designs 

which the theme is 'Make it Funny'

I made a couple of items using this same image and words

the woman is the 'head in hands' stamp and the saying from Carmen Verandas

clear stamps

So I made this post card, and yes I have mailed it already to my sister LOL.

all done in black and white except the butterfly which I coloured in and

added a bit of sparkle to it

The edge designs were some rub ons I had laying around

This saying is so her !!!!

Next up I made a book mark - and this one is going to my daughter

                                     she reads alot...

From the Heart

 my 'Love and Hearts' make for this months challenge

At Lost Coast Designs

Actually - there are two makes here hehehhee

These were actually quick and easy to make.

So the First one with the Red Hearts

Has a belly band around it with the saying attached.

This saying is from Carmen Verandas clear stamps

Using a stamping trick - I only stamped about 1/2 of what the original stamps says !!

So easy to do with a bit of scotch tape to block out what you don't want.

this is what I blocked out LOL

'then remove the dog hair from your mouth as you walk to the car'

So now what I did was make a nice mushy card hehehehe

The next card is one large heart - using the same saying

then on the inside using the Party Words

All about LOVE

 Welcome to my blog today where I am sharing

my second make of the month with the 'Love & Hearts'  challenge

using the dictionary word 'love' for the background

and then the Thick and Thin Men as the couple

Love is Love

I die cut the heart out and layered on top of the stamped images.

Using a stencil for the hearts , and a couple more cut out.

The Love word was fussy cut out (ya that was real fussy LOL)

Here is my first make of the month !

Using a technique I hadn't done for quite awhile

Toilet paper - yeppers. LOL

So Using the Heart in the ATC Doodles I did this technique

Glued it onto the embossed background

then using Party Words for the saying

which is embossed in white on the small banner

Added a few beads around the edges.

this Heart stamp could be used for Valentines , weddings and/or Anniversaries !!!

Rocker Card

 Todays make at Lost Coast Designs challenge

lis a rocker card using the 

Bird on a Bike stamp

If you have never made a rocker card - give it a try - so much fun,

and so easy

The circle that I stamped the Bird on a Bike was inked with different colours

of distress inks.

Like a rainbow almost

I layered the circle onto black cardstock

the base was done in white cardstock then a circle next size smaller I cut

in Design paper and folded over.

Some splatters of white

The saying we have in with our Carmen Veranda clearstamp words

I just didn't have it handy so used this cut out

(in other words - seems to be lost in my craft room lol)

Well I have been working on my journal and on one page I used

the Thin Dancer

and YES she is fussy cut out !

I did emboss her in black then coloured her in.  Some sparkle on the wings.

She is escaping from the (die cut) cage.

The saying I typed out on the computer - I have always liked that saying.

this was so much fun to do !   I find is such a challenge to do a junk journal,

but love the results when done.

So I have started off the year using a couple of old

stencils. My Angel Dog and some Bubbles and Stars

Once I inked in the dog and bubbles I used the

'No Dogs in Heaven' stamp from the

Carmen Verandas clear stamps

The stars I used some stardust butter with a bit

of colour added in.

Merry Christmas

 Well here we are, almost Christmas.

here with my final make of the year

and in the 'anthing goes' challenge

Thought I would end the year with a Christmas card I made

using the Corner Swirl and Party words stamps

embossed white onto vellum with the corner swirl stamp.

dry embossed the side panels, layered onto shiny craft paper

add the snowflakes and a bit of silver thread

The saying is embossed in silver too.

 This month at Lost Coast Designs the 

challenge is ' anything goes'

well for my second make I did this  card 

using some distress inks, Corner swirl stamp

and Saying from Carmen Veranda

I sponged ink from the corner in with a light blue, then with the swirl stamp

used a darker colour on top

The Saying was stamped in archival black, then did 

some light splats with my posca pen.

Quick and easy card that you could match with any saying

Layered onto black then some blue cardstock.

this card is 5 1/2 x 5 1/2 inches.

Same stamp - 2 Ways

Over at Lost Coast Designs

So thought I would step away from Christmas cards for something completely different.

Using the Mini fish Collage I did two different cards.

First Both cards are 5 1/2 square.

The first one I radomly stamped the card with random stamps.

inked the edges a bit in blue, layered the coloured cheesecloth on top.

The Image I coloured, added a bit of stickles then clear embossed the whole image.

Layered on top of the cheesecloth.  Added some green threads and some blings.

the next card, is a nice clean simple card

I stamped the image onto Vellum with staz on ink.

three layers of cardstock then wrapped the vellum around and secured on backside.

Layered onto card - added a couple of blings and saying from party words

Feliz Navidad

It is getting so close to Christmas.  And here with another make for 

Lost Coast Festive Fun

For this card I chose one of the (several) images of Frida Kahlo.

I masked off the sayings that were on the stamp so that I just had the image of Frida

She was stamped onto an off white cardstock.

Used one of my stencils for the background and some distress ink for the edges.

As this looks like an old photograph I tried to vintage it up a bit.

I had some lovely blue lace that I used as the banner on top

Layered the saying and placed on top of the lace.

I think this is one of my fav Christmas cards this year.

 Hey thanks for stopping by today.

sharing one of my makes for Lost Coast Designs Christmas Challenge

The background I used distress inks, spritzed with some water then

added some white splatters.  Give it a bit of a snowy wintery evening look.

You can't see it in this picture, but it is layered onto a dark purple shiny paper too.

Using the Merry Christmas from the Party Words set

And then the CityScape stamp (did you know this comes in two sizes!!)

Added a bit of silvery thread in behind the words.  and added some stars.  And yes , each star is glued on separately LOL.  

I decided not to paint in the buildings.  Just liked the way the buildings looked. Sometimes less is a good thing.

Using the Santa Mona for this one

and Party Words for the Merry Christmas

Just using Kraft colour cardstock stamped her in black then coloured in the santa hat

Added a wee bit of sparkle too 

masked her then used my posca pen for the white splatters

inked up the edges in a walnut brown

layered the tags onto the string to finish it off.

AT LOST COAST DESIGNS

Here I am  with my final make for the month.

Some treat boxes !!!

I got theses acetate boxes at the dollar store and worked out great

for some goodies

I made sure the ribbon was placed so the packet could be opened easily for the treats.

So I used the Skull Crown stamp for the orange one

couple of black blings for the eyes

layered onto black then purple cardstock with the edges stressed

The the other is the

Gnome witch on a broom

Witch - i mean which - was fussy cut out of course

Hope I gave you a bit of inspiration !!

Today I am sharing a couple of candles I made using several different stamps. 

The first one, just a quicky - using the Crows Border stamps

The larger candle I used the happy cat and Carmen Verandas words and quotes

witches go riding

Notice I reversed the crows on the smaller candle

Barely two weeks lefts to get your Halloween make into our challenge!!!

Near Halloween

 Here with another make for the 31 days of Halloween

at Lost Coast Designs !!

Today I am sharing a card I made using the 'Tree Branches'

background stamp and

'Raven with Tree Branches' stamp

The tag I used the soap bubbles technique for the background

then I stamped the Raven in black onto a tag.  Sponged the edges with black soot ink.

Layered onto the background branches where I had also stamped the Raven

so I could layer the tag on top (popped it up a bit)

Also inked the edges

The saying if from Carmen Verandas Words and Phrases

'when witches go riding'. where I only used a portion

of the saying.

Slid in the moon behind the tag - added a bit of ribbon.

Layered onto dark purple cardstock - stressed the edges.

Sugar Skulls

 My first make for October with Lost Coast Designs

31 days of Halloween

I started with this bunting made using the three small skulls

Did you know these Skulls come in 3 different sizes !!  whoo hoo

What I put together was this bunting

I embossed the skulls in silver onto black cardstock, then fussy cut out

(they were not very fussy - easy peasy - LOL)

Added some silver threads in behind 

and added bling for the eyes

Glued the images onto the flags -

the material was rough cut out and stapled onto a string

Overall think it turned out kinda fun

 So a friend of mine is starting a journey

along with a book ( by Anthony Bidulka) to pass the time

 Well here is my final make for the challenge month

at Lost Coast Design 'Inchies, Twinchies or Dominoes"

using a 'grunge border stamp'

and cutting it into one inch pieces 

Then adding the sentiment from 'party words'

I did some colour on the grunge image before cutting it up.

Added some butterflies and different layers of cardstock in 

the blue and black

to finish it off
